Entrepreneurship and Innovation Directorate
The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Directorate operates with the aim of enhancing the entrepreneurship, innovation, technology-oriented transformation, and digitalization capacities of members. The Directorate’s primary objective is to develop and implement strategies that will increase the global competitiveness of members, support the transition to high value-added production, and encourage technology-based innovation processes. Within this framework, the Directorate is responsible for defining the Chamber’s entrepreneurship and innovation vision, developing policies, producing projects, and monitoring outcomes. The two coordinatorships operating under its structure make significant contributions to strengthening the entrepreneurship ecosystem through technology and innovation-oriented activities.
Entrepreneurship and Training Coordinatorship
The Entrepreneurship and Training Coordinatorship develops strategies and designs programs and projects aimed at strengthening the technology-based entrepreneurship ecosystem in line with the Chamber’s entrepreneurship vision. In order to create an environment where enterprises and entrepreneurs can transform innovative business ideas into projects, it strengthens collaboration networks and supports clustering activities. The Coordinatorship also contributes to the dissemination of entrepreneurship culture by developing events and partnerships that increase interaction among ecosystem stakeholders.
It organizes seminars, conferences, and webinars to raise awareness in the field of entrepreneurship and aims to improve the competencies of entrepreneurs through innovative and digital training content. The Coordinatorship is also responsible for the coordination of the TOBB Ankara Women Entrepreneurs Board.
The Coordinatorship additionally plays an active role in vocational education and skills development. In particular, it develops programs that contribute to the employment policies of SMEs and establishes school-industry collaborations in order to train qualified human resources required by the labor market. Within this scope, it signs protocols with vocational and technical education institutions and carries out activities aimed at increasing internship and employment opportunities. Through national and international projects, it supports members and young people in preparing for the professions of the future.
Innovation and Research Coordinatorship
The Innovation and Research Coordinatorship operates to support the technology and innovation-driven transformation processes of Chamber members. The Coordinatorship manages the design, implementation, and monitoring processes of corporate innovation strategies while developing programs to enhance the R&D and innovation capacities of enterprises. It provides analytical tools to measure the innovation levels of members, implements evaluation methods, and prepares strategic reports based on continuously updated data.
The Coordinatorship establishes collaborations with R&D organizations, universities, research centers, and other stakeholders with a focus on innovation and digitalization. It develops national and international digitalization projects and facilitates access to opportunities in this field. It develops methodologies to determine the digital maturity levels of companies and provides a platform for rapid and effective access to digitalization services.
In addition, by serving as the representative office of the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office Industrial Property Advisory Unit, the Coordinatorship guides companies in intellectual property rights processes and provides the necessary direction to ensure that industrial outputs can be measured according to international criteria.
To raise awareness in the field of innovation, the Coordinatorship organizes training programs and seminars related to innovation, digitalization, R&D, and intellectual property rights. It also encourages innovation-oriented development among members through sectoral research, surveys, project implementations, and award programs.
