Member Relations and Registry Directorate

The Directorate carries out membership procedures related to companies qualified as industrial enterprises within the framework of Law No. 5174 and the Chamber Transactions Regulation. It also maintains up-to-date records by registering changes related to members’ status. In accordance with Law No. 5174, the Directorate conducts the necessary inspections regarding companies determined to have lost their industrial qualifications and ensures the cancellation of their Chamber registrations.

Definition of an Industrialist

Definition of an Industrialist Pursuant to Article 5 of Law No. 5174

For the purposes of this Law, industrialists are defined as enterprises that create added value by processing raw materials, semi-finished or finished products through the use of motive power such as benches, equipment, and machinery in order to partially or completely alter their characteristics, content, composition, or form and produce new products in serial or standardized form; operators engaged in the extraction and processing of underground resources; and producers of information technologies and software, provided that they employ at least ten workers.

Provisions Regarding Registration

Application for Registration

All natural and legal persons who have completed the legal requirements in accordance with the provisions of the Turkish Commercial Code and the Trade Registry Regulation, registered their industrial enterprises with the Trade Registry Directorate, and whose headquarters and/or factories are located within the provincial borders of Ankara are required to register with the Ankara Chamber of Industry.

Documents Required for Registration

Natural or legal persons holding industrialist status and having completed their registration procedures with the Trade Registry Directorate must submit the following documents to the Chamber’s Registry Directorate for application purposes.

You may submit your Chamber registration documents online via the link below:

Online Membership Registration

In provinces where a Chamber of Industry has been established, industrialists fulfill their obligation to register with the Chamber of Commerce by registering with the Chamber of Industry. Commercial activities carried out by industrial enterprise owners as a requirement of their industrial operations do not eliminate their industrialist status; however, they may also register with the Chamber of Commerce if they wish.

Ex Officio Registration

Industrialists who fail to fulfill their legal obligation to register with the Chamber within one month from the date of commencement of business activities shall be registered ex officio by the Chamber, and the relevant parties shall be notified accordingly.

Notification of Changes

Persons obliged to register with the Chambers are required to notify their registered Chamber within one month of any changes in their status that must be registered and announced pursuant to the Turkish Commercial Code.

Deregistration of Records

Members may request the cancellation of their Chamber registration by submitting the Trade Registry Gazette indicating the deletion of their Trade Registry records.

The registrations of Chamber of Industry members who are determined, either upon application or ex officio, to have lost their industrialist status shall be deleted from the Chamber records.
