ANKARA CHAMBER OF INDUSTRY ESTABLISHES STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP FOCUSED ON ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

“ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE WILL SHAPE THE FUTURE OF OUR INDUSTRY”

A cooperation protocol was signed between the Ankara Chamber of Industry (ACI) and the Artificial Intelligence Policies Association (AIPA), in the presence of Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, to promote the adoption of artificial intelligence applications in industry and support digital and green transformation processes.

The Ankara Chamber of Industry continues to strengthen its cooperation with institutions and organizations to reinforce the industry's high value-added production structure and foster an ecosystem that develops and produces technology. Within this framework, a cooperation protocol was signed between ACI and the Artificial Intelligence Policies Association (AIPA).

The signing ceremony took place during AIPA’s AI Tomorrow Summit 2026, attended by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz. ACI Chairman Seyit Ardıç and AIPA Chairman Zafer Küçükşabanoğlu signed the cooperation protocol in the presence of Vice President Yılmaz.

ACI Chairman Seyit Ardıç stated that artificial intelligence is no longer a technology of the future but a key driver of competitiveness today, emphasizing that ACI has placed this transformation at the center of its industrial vision. Chairman Ardıç noted that the protocol signed with AIPA should be regarded not merely as a memorandum of understanding, but as a shared declaration of commitment to the future of Turkish industry.

Highlighting that artificial intelligence is one of the key driving forces of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Chairman Ardıç noted that the AI adoption rate among enterprises in Türkiye currently stands at only 7.5 percent, with an even lower rate among SMEs. He emphasized that industrial enterprises must rapidly adapt to this transformation in order to maintain their global competitiveness, stating, “The industrial model that carried us through the past will no longer be sufficient on its own in today's and tomorrow's technology race.”

Chairman Ardıç stated that ACI has been implementing numerous projects and partnerships aimed at strengthening high value-added production and building an industrial ecosystem that not only uses technology but also develops and produces it. He added that ACI aims to position Ankara as a leading center for technology and innovation.

“THE PROTOCOL WILL PROVIDE A STRONG FOUNDATION FOR COOPERATION”

ACI Chairman Seyit Ardıç stated that he believes the protocol will contribute significantly to the technological transformation of industry, saying, “The protocol we signed today will provide a strong foundation for cooperation in raising awareness of artificial intelligence, organizing training activities, developing joint projects, and formulating policies.” Chairman Ardıç also expressed his hope that the partnership would deliver positive outcomes for Ankara’s industry and Türkiye’s technology-driven development goals.

ACI MEMBERS’ ADAPTATION TO ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TECHNOLOGIES WILL BE SUPPORTED

Under the protocol, training, awareness-raising, capacity-building, analysis, and consultancy activities will be carried out in the fields of artificial intelligence, digitalization, twin transformation, and climate change. In addition, support will be provided to help ACI member companies adapt to artificial intelligence technologies, assess their AI maturity levels, develop AI roadmaps, and enhance their competitiveness.

Within the scope of the protocol, the parties also plan to carry out joint activities under the TÜBİTAK 1831 Green Innovation Mentorship Program, COP processes and climate diplomacy initiatives, and national and international events, particularly the AI Tomorrow Summit. They will further cooperate on knowledge sharing, training programs, and policy development in the fields of artificial intelligence, green transformation, and digital transformation.
