ON JULY 15, OUR NATION SHOWED THE ENTIRE WORLD THAT NO POWER CAN STAND ABOVE THE NATIONAL WILL
On the 10th anniversary of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, I once again condemn the treacherous coup attempt that targeted our democracy, our national will and our independence.
On the night of July 15, 2016, our cherished nation defended its democracy, independence and future, showing the entire world that no power can stand above the national will. The courage, unity and spirit of solidarity displayed that night have been engraved in our memories as one of the strongest examples of the determination our nation has demonstrated throughout history.
The Republic of Türkiye, with its deep-rooted state tradition and unwavering national unity, has the strength to never submit to any threat, regardless of where or from whom it comes. No force or attempt will ever be able to take control of our nation’s will. With its epic stance on the night of July 15, our nation declared to the whole world its determination to protect its democracy, independence and national will. The spirit of national unity displayed that night became a source of inspiration and courage for all nations through its firm commitment to democracy.
As the Ankara Chamber of Industry, we will continue today and tomorrow, as we did yesterday, to uphold our unwavering commitment to democracy and the national will with the same faith and determination. In line with the Türkiye Century vision set forth by our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we will continue to carry our country toward a stronger future through production, employment and exports.
With these feelings and thoughts, on the 10th anniversary of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, I commemorate with mercy, gratitude and respect our cherished martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our democracy and homeland, and I extend my gratitude to our heroic veterans.
