PRINTING DEPARTMENT STUDENTS COMPLETED AN INTERNSHIP PROGRAM IN EUROPE
As a result of the cooperation protocol signed by the Ankara Chamber of Industry (ASO) No. 8 Paper Products and Printing Industry Vocational Committee to improve the quality of vocational education, students from Aktaş Atatürk Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School completed an internship program in Europe. Following the overseas internship program held in Cologne, Germany, within the scope of the “Erasmus+ Program Vocational Education Student and Staff Mobility Accreditation,” ASO Board Treasurer Member Mehmet Osmanbeyoğlu and Committee Members hosted the students at ASO.
The cooperation protocol signed between the Ankara Chamber of Industry (ASO) No. 8 Paper Products and Printing Industry Vocational Committee and Aktaş Atatürk Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School to strengthen vocational education continues to produce tangible outcomes.
As part of the activities carried out under the protocol, students from the school’s printing department participated in an overseas internship program in Cologne, Germany, within the framework of the Erasmus+ Program, gaining valuable international experience.
Under the program coordinated by the Turkish National Agency, nine students from Atatürk Aktaş Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School successfully completed the “Short-Term Student Internship Mobility” program in the field of printing. The students had the opportunity to observe the latest production techniques in the sector on-site in Cologne and directly participate in international applications.
Following the internship program, ASO Board Treasurer Member Mehmet Osmanbeyoğlu and ASO No. 8 Vocational Committee Members hosted the students and conducted a comprehensive evaluation regarding the professional gains, practical skills, and outcomes achieved through their international experience.
The meeting was attended by ASO Assembly Member Fırat Gündoğan, Committee Chairman Beste Rodoslu, Vice Chairman Ertuğrul Sarıyıldız, Committee Members Sinan Öztürk and Süphani Akkoç, Atatürk Aktaş Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School teacher İbrahim Abdullah Soybaş, and the students.

Speaking during the program, ASO Board Member Mehmet Osmanbeyoğlu emphasized the importance of strengthening vocational education through international experience:
“The role of vocational education in training the qualified human resources needed by our industry is extremely critical. Programs such as Erasmus+ make significant contributions to both the personal and professional development of our students through the knowledge and experience they gain in different countries.”
Stating that the internship program in Cologne provided valuable opportunities for students, Osmanbeyoğlu added:
“Through this program, our students had the opportunity to observe the latest technologies in the printing sector on-site and experience an international working environment. We will always continue to support vocational high schools in order to provide our industry with qualified human resources.”

ASO No. 8 Paper Products and Printing Industry Vocational Committee Chairman Beste Rodoslu also emphasized that strengthening vocational education is among the committee’s priority areas of work.
“The paper products and printing industry requires qualified human resources capable of adapting to rapidly developing technologies. In this regard, we attach great importance to our cooperation with vocational high schools and support our young people in meeting the sector while they are still in the education process. This internship program carried out within the scope of Erasmus+ has been a highly valuable step in enabling our students to gain international experience and enhance their professional competencies,” she said.

Students who participated in the Erasmus+ program also stated that the overseas internship experience made significant contributions to both their professional and personal development.
The students explained that the experience they gained in Germany broadened their perspective on the profession and that observing different production techniques on-site was extremely valuable. They thanked the Ankara Chamber of Industry and the ASO No. 8 Vocational Committee for providing them with this opportunity.
