ACI Specialized Commissions
The “Directive on the Working Procedures and Principles of Specialized Commissions” was adopted at the 4th meeting of the Chamber Assembly held on 24 July 2013.
Within this framework, the specialized commissions established and their areas of responsibility are as follows:
1. R&D, Innovation and Digital Industry Commission
R&D and innovation activities of members; institutional structures of members regarding R&D activities; collaborations in the field of R&D; material and moral rights arising from inventions and innovations developed by members; and the enhancement of branding processes, brand value, and industrial design value.
2. Labor Relations, Taxation and Members’ Issues Commission
Disputes and conflicts arising from business relations among industrialists, their employees, and public/private institutions and organizations; mediation, arbitration, and legal procedures; all regional and sectoral issues encountered by members during their activities, together with related solutions, opinions, and recommendations; evaluation of the existing tax system, including the Income Tax Law, Value Added Tax Law, Corporate Tax Law, and other tax regulations, incentives, and arrangements in terms of the tax burdens and responsibilities faced by members; monitoring and developing recommendations regarding revenue administration, tax auditing, accounting, financial consultancy, and tax judiciary practices by comparing them with international examples for the benefit of Chamber members and the national economy.
3. Environment Commission
Members’ contributions to environmental sustainability within the framework of legislation and social responsibility principles; monitoring environmental legislation; and obligations of enterprises.
4. Foreign Trade Development Commission
Commercial and investment activities and collaborations of members in international markets; and cooperation between the Chamber and international institutions and organizations for the benefit of members.
5. Economy Commission
The positive and negative impacts of developments and changes in the national economy on members’ activities; the economic, financial, and fiscal structures of members; and members’ competitiveness in national and international markets.
6. Energy Commission
Energy supply security; increasing energy supply; energy efficiency and conservation; energy diversification; energy incentives; energy investments; and challenges encountered in the energy sector.
7. Intellectual Property Rights Commission
8. Food, Agriculture and Livestock Commission
9. Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Commission
10. Mining Commission
11. Technical Legislation and Standards Commission
Technical legislation and standards that members are required to comply with during their activities, taking into account the European Union harmonization process; participation in commissions and committees established by relevant institutions for the development of Turkish Standards, ISO Standards, and CEN-CENELEC Standards.
12. Defense Industry Commission
Carrying out activities aimed at increasing interaction among defense industry companies and increasing the domestic production ratio in the defense industry through cooperation with universities.
13. University-Industry Cooperation and Education Commission
Development of research activities at universities in line with the needs of industry; enabling members to benefit from the knowledge and expertise of universities in fields such as basic engineering sciences; project-based R&D activities between universities, research institutions, and members; mutual collaborations; and training programs needed by members.
